Introduction to Craft Beer
The craft beer revolution has really taken off and here at Newcastle Wine School we love our beers! From locally crafted ales made by independent breweries to artisan international styles such as American craft beers or the lambic beers of Belgium.
This evening is the perfect introduction to craft beer for those new to this hoppy heaven, it is also a great evening for craft beer enthusiasts to learn a little more about the origins of the beers they love.
We will taste from a wide selection of properly made beers – including, for example, hoppy British real ale to German and Czech Republic lagers, American micro-brewed golden ales to Belgian fruit beers. They are all produced in the old-fashioned way – i.e. bottle conditioned, live beers made from quality specialist hops, & specialist malts.
In this introductory evening we will;
- Learn about the wonderful world of Craft beer – including the different types of hops, malts, styles and flavours
- Taste a wide range of local & international beers
- Learn to taste & evaluate beer like a professional
- Learn how to match beer with food
